Danijel Škerjanc will accompany us on guitar with Dalmatian-Kvarner and Mediterranean melodies on both evenings.
He began playing guitar as a child and since then, the guitar has been his first and lasting love. He has years of work, practice, dedication, and endless, bohemian loyalty to the guitar behind him. Over the years, he has developed a repertoire ranging from classical pieces and evergreens to songs that embody the spirit of the Mediterranean.
"The guitar is my inner peace, and the best feeling for me is when I realize that my interpretation caresses the soul and improves the atmosphere for the listeners." He will always remember his sister-in-law's comment when she once said enthusiastically, "I have never seen anyone silence a group of people with music like that."
He adds his favorite paraphrase of classical guitar virtuoso Andrés Segovia: "We lean forward slightly and press the guitar to our chest to create the poetry of its music with our heart."
Welcome to Gozd Martuljek!
